PEI FAMILY & MOTHERHOOD PHOTOGRAPHER

MAMA to Paloma Iris, lover of the outdoors & all things creative

I'm a 35 year old mama living on the beautiful Prince Edward Island. I'm disabled and neurodivergent and I dedicate most of my time to raising Paloma Iris, our smart, creative, caring and independent 3 year old whom I love the most in my whole life.

I love making myself a great coffee, our little routine, good food and even better cocktails. I love to be outside by the ocean whenever I can, but spend lots of time inside too to watch documentaries. I'm quirky and authentic and love deep conversations with people that challenge me daily (mostly my partner Sean LOL).

Our little life on this Island is pretty slow and simple. On off days, you can find us walking in town enjoying the slides (Paloma mostly), taking long drives to the beach, hosting our friends for cocktail night or just chilling in our backyard smoking weed.

a mother first.

Becoming a mother has been the most transformative experience of my life. It has changed me in ways that I never thought possible, and has given me a sense of purpose and fulfillment that I never knew I was missing. I was made to be Paloma Iris' mother.

With this newly found role of being responsible for another human being, I rediscovered photography and fell in love with this art form all over again. Although I have been a wedding photographer for the better part of the last 9 years, I approach my family sessions the same way I approach how I raise our daughter: with patience, understanding, care and FUN! Motherhood has shown me that beauty lives in the everyday moments, and that there is magic to be found in even the most ordinary experiences. Whether I'm capturing the way the light caresses your child's hair on our walk or the joy on my daughter's face as she splashes in the ocean, I'm constantly reminded of the beauty of life and how lucky and privileged we are to hold our children close at night.

I have loved children for as long as I can remember and that might be why I feel such a strong connection when photographing children. I want to remember every detail of their personalities as they grow into human beings. I remember flipping through hundreds of photos of my childhood and seeing my happiness & my joy. I'm so excited to connect with you and your family to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere where everyone can feel comfortable being themselves. Whether it's playing games, snuggling up together, or exploring the outdoors, I just truly always want to have a good time!

Dear Iris is an ode to my daughter. I owe her everything.

we are in such a hurry. let's slow down and document YOUR EVER-GROWING LOVE.

My approach is PLAY-BASED and focuses on letting children take the lead. I foster an environment where kids are encouraged to engage in spontaneous play, allowing their real personalist and interactions to shire. I capture authentic moments filled with laughter, curiosity & genuine connections.

By letting children lead the way, the images we create together really reflect the joy and authenticity of family life.
